Worship this Week at FBCDC
Financial conversations often trigger shame, anxiety, or guilt. But what if God's perspective on money is actually liberating?

This is an important time for our ministry leaders to connect, collaborate, and discuss the ongoing work of FBCDC. Lunch will be provided.
Bring your toddlers, preschoolers, and energy levels—we'll provide the beverages, simple snacks, and a welcoming space for parents to connect while kids play.
Way Wednesdays are the mid-week gatherings for young adults in their 20s and 30s. We share dinner and explore faith through teaching, contemplative practices, and honest conversation.
All are invited to join the Chancel Choir to sing for Candlelight Carols, a beloved FBC tradition.
This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with other new faces, hear more about First Baptist's history and mission, and discover the many ways to get involved in the life of our congregation. Whether you've been with us for a few weeks or a few months, we'd love to get to know you better over a meal together.

Remember and reflect on Christ’s suffering and crucifixion in this “Service of Silence and Shadows” led by our choir and readers from the congregation. The sanctuary moves from light to darkness as we mark Christ’s suffering and death.
On Thursday evening, April 17 at 6:30 p.m., we will observe Maundy Thursday with our sister congregation, Nineteenth Street Baptist Church, in FBC’s Fellowship Hall.
The Collective of Queer Christian Leaders is gathering on Monday, April 14th at 10:00 am for a Rally at the U.S. Capitol (U.S. Capitol, Area 11, at the Intersection of Independence Avenue SE & First Street SE, Washington, D.C.). As we witness coordinated efforts to strip away people’s dignity, safety, and rights, all LGBTQ+ communities, people of faith, allies, and advocates are invited to join CQCL on the 14th. Pastors Eric and Julie will be there. Registration is not required but is highly encouraged to help CQCL plan an effective rally. You can register using this link.
This Sunday is Palm Sunday. Following worship, we will process through our DuPont Circle neighborhood led by our friends from Mariachi Ay Ay Ay. Join the FBC family as we sing, wave palms, and bless our neighbors with the message that they are loved by God. Wear your walking shoes and biggest, welcoming smile! Meet in the Narthex immediately after worship to begin our 30-minute parade on 16th Street.
THIS Sunday, March 30, at 2:30 pm, we will have a congregational meeting by Zoom. A link will be sent in Sunday morning’s email. This meeting will include updates from our Ministry Leadership Team and our Ministry Action Teams.
We’re located at 16th and O Streets NW—in the heart of Washington, a mile north of the White House. We are part of the Dupont Circle and Logan Circle neighborhoods. Need more info? Call us or click below.
We look forward to greeting you in person. In the meantime, you can request prayer or ask a question by calling or sending an email.
At First Baptist DC, giving is the fuel that powers every congregational expression of hospitality, compassion, generosity and justice. FBC relies on the congregation for regular, sustainable financial support.
