Being a church member is NOT the same as being a club member. The church is not a club, but a living body. One belongs to a church in the same way a thumb or lung or nose belongs to a human body.

The word “member” originally meant a body part. So to say you are a “church member” is to say you are part of the Body of Christ. The church thrives best when every part of the body is playing each one’s important role, in harmony with all the other body parts. Is God calling you to join FBC in ministry and mission as a next step in your journey of faith?
