First Baptist Church is located at the corner of 16th and O Streets, in the northwest section of the District of Columbia. It is approximately eight blocks north of the White House, near the many embassy buildings along Massachusetts Avenue. The neighborhood is a mixture of retail businesses, office complexes, townhouses, and apartments. The church is located near Dupont Circle, with its numerous shops, restaurants, and convenient public transportation. Thousands of people, originally from many parts of the United States and the world, now call our neighborhood their home. The area is quite diverse in terms of nationality, race, religious background, and sexual orientation.

Our address is 1328 16th St, NW. The parking lot is located at 17th and O Streets, NW.

Directions via Metrorail

Metrorail travelers should take the Red Line to the Dupont Circle station and follow Massachusetts Avenue in a southeasterly direction to 16th Street. Turn Left on 16th Street and walk one half block to the church.

Directions from the East

Take the Beltway Exit #19 West (Route 50 West) to New York Avenue, to Massachusetts Avenue, and proceed to Scott Circle. Turn North on 16th Street. The church is on the Left.

Directions from the North:

Take the Beltway Exit #31 South (Georgia Avenue South) and follow Georgia Avenue to 16th Street. Proceed south about 7 miles to O Street. Turn right on O Street to the parking lot at 17th and O Streets.

Directions from the West:

Take the Beltway Exit #9 East (1-66 East), and continue on 1-66 East, crossing the Theodore Roosevelt Bridge to Constitution Avenue. Turn Left onto 18th Street NW, and follow 18th Street North across Massachusetts Avenue to P Street. Turn Right at P Street, then a Right onto 17th Street. After one block, the church and parking lot are on the left at the corner of 17th and O Streets.

Directions from the South:

Take the Beltway Exit #4 North (1-395 North) and continue on 1-395 about 9 miles to the 14th Street Bridge. Stay in the extreme left lane as you cross the bridge. Continue on 14th Street north across the Mall and turn Left on "I" Street. Proceed 2 blocks and turn Right onto 16th Street. Follow 16th Street North under Scott Circle to "P" Street (about five blocks). Turn Left at "P" Street, then Left again onto 17th Street, then Left again onto "O" Street. The church parking lot will be to your right and the rear entrance to the church is just off the parking lot.
